Aura Gardens in California

"Ran into this place with my friend while picking up boba milk tea for my daughter at Ding Tea. The outside is unassuming but there are normally a couple of folks sitting outside having breakfast. The food looked great so went in to take a look at the menu. Loved the options on the menu. There were breakfast items (lemon ricotta pancakes, creme brulee french toast, Benny's, and traditional breakfast including loco moco), lunch items (salads, bowls, sandwiches, etc.), expressso drinks, juices, and matcha lattes. A great collection of favorite foods making it hard to choose what to eat especially around brunch time. We ended up ordering the chimicurri prime rib sandwich, the maple bacon benny, and the ricotta pancakes. The dishes were all done well and was fantastic. We ordered the pancakes mostly to sample as dessert and once we got a little cornor to ourselves split the two pancakes between the two kiddos. Everyone devoured the food and everyone was impressed. Both girls wanted more pancakes, but they were so full. Two matcha lattes were ordered as well and both were delicious. Overall a wonderful brunch for 2 ladies with their 2 daughters."

"Perfect brunch spot. Plenty of parking and beautiful area! Not too many seats so you might have to wait a bit but it’s worth the wait. Order at the front and they’ll give you a number to deliver the food. Food comes so so fast, literally came within 10 mins of ordering. Shakshuka was beyond delicious and the strawberry matcha latte was amazing. Service was fast and kind. Perfect portions for the price, will be returning often!"

"Andrew the owner is wonderful! His attention to detail and quality ingredients really make the food amazing. We had the chimichurri sandwich and the tallow biscuit breakfast sandwich and they were both excellent. The breads were all fresh, the steak was seasoned perfectly, and the addition of the sweet potato hash was perfect. The mocha was also excellent- creamy and chocolatey but not too sweet. Highly recommend- we will be back!"

"Excellent new brunch spot in Oceanside/Carlsbad. Very cute interior. Excellent customer service. Our bennies were perfectly cooked and delicious. The tallow biscuit was tasty and the sweet potato hash was very good. Poached eggs were perfect. Holandaise sauce also perfect. Will definitely return to try the lunch options."

"I'm so happy for such an accessible and utterly delicious brunch spot close to Carlsbad Village. It has a wonderful service, staff is so friendly and the menu options are creatively incredible. The atmosphere definitely convey this little spot's philosophy. I've had a meal there 3 times and my last time was the absolute best. I love the menu ideas and I think slowly they are starting to get the flavors right, considering my last meal there. The sweet potato kale hash was right on the mark flavor-wise and pared with a green salsa it's an absolute must. I don’t even feel like going to the Village, I can just go to Aura Gardens; it has it all! Coffee is excellent as well."

"I was intrigued by the menu, so we went for brunch and ordered the Farro Shrimp Fried Rice, Croissant Sandwich, and the Tallow Biscuit Sandwich. The shrimp fried rice was the standout of the trio with its bright flavors, layers of texture, and Korean fusion influence. The sandwiches were also good, but aligned more with a simpler palate."

"I don’t think we would have found this place were in not for the Google Reviews, but so glad we did… The four of us enjoyed an inviting atmosphere, friendly service, and a fantastic brunch. We started with cappuccinos, mochas, and matcha teas, followed by their Chimichurri Prime Rib sandwich, Avocado Toast (on brioche maybe?), Chilaquiles, and a yummy Wagyu Loco Moco dish. Everything was fresh, fast, and tasted great. We can’t wait to go back!"

"All I know after this fabulous meal is that I definitely will be returning and although I like to keep some great places a secret, this place is getting a lot of positive and well deserved recognition so I might as well share…. They know what they are doing.. about everything. The food is top notch quality and reasonable for the area too. The sweet potato hash is worth the trip alone. How do they slice them so thin? How do they get them so perfect and crispy? The seasoning! So good! Eggs were perfect, and my raspberry lemon muffin was really hard to share. The owner stopped by with fresh made raspberry jam to spread on the house made sourdough and that was amazing and grilled with butter. Ok I really can’t stop thinking about the food here.. the drink menu is classy and diverse. This place is here to stay Carlsbad. Go try it and see:)"
